Sihong Wang Wins Prize for Cancer Research

(The City College of New York) – Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering Sihong Wang is one of six young scientists from the New York City area to receive the inaugural Pershing Square Sohn Prize for Young Investigators in Cancer Research.

The award, $200,000 annually for three years, will support her investigations into development of an in vitro 3D human tumor model that can rapidly test multiple drug therapies. She and former graduate student Dr. Zeynup Dereli Korkut recently formed a biotech company to commercialize their technology.
