Inaugural Pershing Square Sohn Prize Dinner

The Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Research Alliance celebrated its inaugural dinner and awarding the Pershing Square Sohn Prize to six young, innovative scientists in New York City for cancer research.

The dinner included The Pershing Square Foundation Advisory Board (Bill and Karen Ackman, Olivia Flatto, PhD, Allen Modell, David Klafter, Whitney Tilson, Jeanne Ackman, MD, Bill Doyle, Larry Ackman), the Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Research Alliance Governing Board, and the Prize Advisory Board (Marc Tessier-Lavigne, Ph.D., President, Rockefeller University; Craig Thompson, M.D., President and CEO, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center; Bruce Stillman, Ph.D., President and CEO, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory; Siddhartha Mukherjee, M.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, Division of Oncology, Columbia University Medical Center; Mikael Dolsten, M.D., Ph.D., President, Worldwide Research and Development, Pfizer, Inc.; Allan Goodman, Ph.D., President and CEO of the Institute of International Education.; and Pablo Legorreta, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Royalty Pharma) , and the Scientific Review Council (Riccardo Dalla Favera PhD, Columbia University, Joan Massague PhD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, David Lyden MD, PhD, Weill Cornell, Ali Brivanlou, PhD Rockefeller University), and additional guests from the business and pharmaceutical industry community.

Their special guest that evening was Siddhartha Mukherjee, MD, PhD, Author of the Emperor of All maladies who gave a talk after dinner.
