THIRD ANNUAL PERSHING SQUARE SOHN RETREAT
On Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019, the Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Research Alliance held its Third Annual Pershing Square Sohn Retreat in Nicholls-Biondi Hall at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in Long Island.
The Retreat highlighted the 2016 Pershing Square Sohn Prize winners who had just finished their third and final year of funding. These innovative scientists presented their research done over the past three years to their peers and mentors, with robust Q&A discussions regarding their data, next steps, and potential collaborations. The day concluded with a keynote by Scientific Review Council member David C. Lyden, MD, PhD, the Stavros S. Niarchos Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Developmental Biology at Weill Cornell Medicine, on understanding the role of tumor-secreted exosomes in cancer metastasis.
A networking reception in the lobby of Grace Hall followed. Attendees included 2014-2019 Pershing Square Sohn Prize winners, members of PSSCRA’s Scientific Review Council, and select foundation and industry guests.
