2ND ANNUAL PERSHING SQUARE SOHN PRIZE DINNER

On Thursday, May 7th, the Pershing Square Research Alliance held its second annual dinner at the Park Avenue Armory, awarding its 2015 Prize in Cancer Research to six exceptional innovative scientists in New York City. The 2015 winners include Timothy Chan, MD, PhD from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; Arvin Dar, PhD, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai; Evripidis Gavathiotis, PhD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University; Moritz Kircher, MD, PhD from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; Christine Mayr, MD, PhD from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; and Sohail Tavazoie, MD, PhD from The Rockefeller University. Finalists Christopher Mason, PhD from Weill Cornell Medical College and Christopher Vakoc, MD, PhD from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory were awarded for their work on epigenetic research and potential leukemia therapies, respectively.
