INAUGURAL PERSHING SQUARE SOHN RETREAT
On Wednesday, March 8th, 2017 the Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Research Alliance held its inaugural Pershing Square Sohn Annual Retreat at the New York Academy of Sciences.
The Retreat consisted of two sessions. The first session highlighted the departing cohort of grantees, as the 2014 Prize winners presented their work to other Pershing Square Sohn Prize recipients and members of PSSCRA’s Scientific Review Board and Prize Advisory Board.
The second session in the afternoon was open to a wider audience, including guests from the philanthropic, business, and academic communities. It featured talks by Andrea Califano, PhD, Chair of Systems Biology at Columbia University and Ali Brivanlou, PhD, Head of the Laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Molecular at The Rockefeller University, followed by a panel discussion featuring Michael Rosenblatt, MD of Flagship Ventures, Judith Dunn, PhD of Roche, and Sam Waksal, PhD of Kadmon Corporation. The day concluded with a reception.
